What we do
We own and manage various facilities across the parish such as Eversley Park Recreation Ground, Church Green and Lovedon Lane Burial Ground.
We are also consulted on all planning applications within the Parish as well as large planning documents such as the local plan.
We are split into 3 committees who manage different aspects of the Council.
Finance, Administration & Remuneration manage the finances of the Council including staffing, Kings Worthy Community Centre and consider community grants requests.
Planning & Highways manage a large number of planning applications from small extensions all the way to large housing developments.
Recreation & Amenities manage the Council’s public facilities including parks, play areas, sports facilities and more.
What does a Parish Councillor do?
A Parish councillor’s role is to work alongside the Council’s staff and contractors to help deliver services and influence decisions for the benefit of the Parish. This can be small scale projects run by the Parish Council, or large complex development plans within the village, such as large scale developments required by the district council’s Local Plan.
