Our Speed Limit Reminder sign is deployed at multiple strategic positions around the village to encourage drivers to slow down by providing a clear illuminated reminder of the speed limit.
As well as displaying the speed of passing vehicles, our sign also provides feedback to drivers by way of a sad/smiley face. Drivers who stick to the speed limit receive green smiley face, those that exceed the limit receive a red sad face.
Our sign also collects data on vehicle speeds. Whilst this sign cannot be used as an enforcement device, we intend to use this information to highlight trouble spots and request speed enforcement from Hampshire Constabulary.
