Hampshire County Council have confirmed that the works have been rescheduled; details are below.
Works
Hampshire County Council will be undertaking surface treatment works on Wednesday 20th May 2026. The works are scheduled to take one day and during this time the road will be closed sometime between 05:00 – 22:00hrs, and will be re-opened during peak hours (07:00 – 09:30 and 15:00 – 18:30).
This work will take place between the junction of Nations Hill/Springvale Road and the junction of Mount Pleasant/Nations Hill.
Access for residents and businesses will be maintained when possible and safe to do so, pedestrian access to properties will not be affected, and emergency vehicles will have access at all times.
There will be a diversion route in place during the closure which will route traffic via Bedfield Lane.
Please note that these works are weather dependant and thus they may need to be moved at short notice.
